Stellar has more than 30 years experience in aviation and military coatings. From C.A.R.C. (chemical agent resistant coating) to high temp resistant exterior aircraft coatings application, our paint technicians and quality personnel have completed projects ranging from US Army ordinance to the latest fighter jet technology for the most demanding customers. Stellar specializes in dozens of coatings, though our inventory inludes an array of Military and Aviation coatings such as JET GLO, DEFT and PRC DeSOTO. Industrial and Commercial Wet Finishing
Stellar has extensive experience in industrial and commercial metal finishing, and can assist with the most complex coatings-related issues. From medical equipment to communications to firearms technology, our inventory is stocked with a wide range of finishes, including Sherwin Williams Polane, PPG products, Cerakote, Duracoat, Everlube, Hentzen, and many more. Common industry applications at Stellar include castings, electronics, precision rifles and handguns, and medical devices.
Advanced conductive coating solutions
With an extensive background in conductive and resistance coatings applications, Stellar is equipped to meet the most stringent specifications in military/civil aviation and medical electronic components. We have substantial experience in spray-applied electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio-frequency (RFI) resistant coatings, as well as high performance electrostatic discharge (ESD) and lightning guard coatings. On several projects, we have participated in the research and development, and we've also designed processes specifically for aviation and military contractors. We stock numerous conductive products including silver, copper, silver/nickel hyrbrids and nickel.
At Stellat, we strive to offer as many services as possible for our customers. Our powder coating process- from standard commercial electronics components to strict tolerance aviation specifications- folows the same rigourous quality guidelines as our wet finishing process. A wide range of powders are available, including NIC industries, Cerakote, PPG and more.
Precise Masking Solutions
Inexpensive masking leaves behind large amounts of adhesive when baked, and the solvent in paint often attacks the masking, even without heat. Stellar offer a wide selection of masking, from high temperature surface protection applications to part marking stencils, our masking is cut from the only the highest quality materials. Masking is designed in software using data directly from your engineered or CAD drawings, assuring that tolerances are correctly observed. We are also happy to provide 3D-printed hard masking for your parts, or we can assist your company with a masking or part prototype for production.
